Paso Robles, CA – November 19, 2024 – This holiday season, Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating, and Air is giving back to the community by offering 100 free smoke detectors to senior citizens aged 65 and older during their FREE Santa Safety Check appointments. As winter temperatures drop, the risk of structural fires increases, making it crucial for homes to have working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
According to FEMA’s National Fire Incident Reporting System, residential structural fires spike during the month of December, accounting for 72% of all fire incidents reported. Ensuring that homes are equipped with functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors can significantly reduce the risk of injury or loss.
As part of their Santa Safety Check, Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating, and Air will send a technician to inspect current smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, gas lines, and furnaces for safety concerns. Additionally, the company will provide one Kidde smoke detector at no charge to qualifying senior households, and replace the batteries in any existing detectors.
This initiative is part of Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating, and Air’s continued Community First commitment, which was launched in celebration of the company’s 40th anniversary. Over the past year, the company has donated more than $10,000 to local charities, distributed water bottles at local events and schools, and provided monthly cash donations to support community needs. The Santa Safety Check and free smoke detector giveaway are just the latest way they are giving back to the Paso Robles community.

Senior citizens 65 and older can call the local office at 805-238-7093 to schedule their FREE Safety Santa Check and receive a new smoke detector and battery replacements. This offer is available while supplies last during the month of December.
